"The eyes are the windows of the soul" ... so make yours pop

Your eyes are the first thing that others notice about you. There are different ways to make your eyes pop and sparkle. Eye shadow is essential when wanting to play up your eyes. Adding a little color can make such a difference in how your eyes look. Eye shadows vary season to season. A few winter shadows include: Dark purple, silver, teal, and dark green. Make sure when applying darker shadows to keep the bolder color closer to the lash line, and then add softer color towards the top of the eyelids. Some spring and summer shadows include: light pink, rose, light green, pale blue, and peach.

I certainly always wear make-up out. But lately I have been trying to ease off because I think that natural is often more attractive. It's hard for me because I see make-up as an art...and it's def cool to be glamorous. But I think I often get carried away...I don't want to look like Mimi! Do you have any suggestions for a more natural looking eye than the strong colors you mentioned?

I totally agree with you about make-up being an art. Although it's fun to be funky and glamorous, at times I also feel like just keeping it natural. Here are a few tips on how to achieve a natural-but-still-glamorous-looking eye:

Silver eye shadow: When I first heard of silver eye shadow I was like "No way...I'll look like a freak." Surprisingly, silver shadow does wonders for your eyes. Silver shadow makes you eyes appear larger and more defined. Not only that, but it adds a little sparkle to your already gorgeous eyes. (Try applying a thin line of silver shadow under your bottom lashes. This will draw attention to an area of the eye that isn't usually noticed as much.)

Also, try pastels. Light pink, cream, light purple, and even light yellow. Pastels will add just a subtle amount of color to make your eyes pop just enough and not stand out too much.

I hope those tips helped a little. If you have anymore questions, feel free to ask!
